We drove early on Tuesday morning to Arches National Park. We started with this Balanced Rock:) Elli wanted to take a picture like this where she was trying to hold it up.
It was really cool. Hard to believe it just stays there. It really looks like it should fall down:)
Then we all agreed to hike to the Delicate Arch. Well, it was 90+ degrees and the hike was mostly on this slab of rock. Probably not the best decision we have ever made. Lots of whining, but, about and hour or so later, we made it to the arch.
It really was quite an amazing view.
We had to take a break at the bottom of it in the shade. We were very hot and thirsty.
I took this as we were going back out.
We saw some petroglyphs at the same site. It was so very neat to see these.
we found lots more arches in the park and decided to stop at these as well.
Micah wanted to go to the top of these arches so he and Brent made the very long trek.
Elli chose to stay here and relax:)
Micah also wanted to climb into this cave! They didn't have a way to climb to the top, but they gave it their best shot. Overall, it was a good day in Arches, but we were all tired and very hot when the day was done. We swam at the hotel and then all went to bed, easily.
