Easter morning and Day

Let me start with this story.  Elli asked me why her Bible split up the story about Jesus dying on the cross and his resurrection.  She did not feel like any child should have to go to bed only hearing about Jesus dying.  So, she had Brent finish reading the next story, telling of Jesus rising from the dead.  I love the truth that this story holds for us.  I am thankful the story did not end in Jesus's death, but in his conquering of death!
The kids baskets.  The bunny left riddles again.  Elli found hers right away.
 She was very excited:)
Finding all the eggs. Pretty soon she is going to have to share the fun with Micah, but this year, he was happy to stay sleeping while Elli got up early before church to find it all.
Our tradition for the past few years is to get the Masters and Raymonds together for an Easter morning picture.  Madilynn, Cody, Caleb, Elijah, Andrew, Caroline, Emma Grace, Lucia, Lily, Ellianna, Micah:)  Love these kids.
Paula, myself, and Sherry.  I really do love these girls and thier friendship.
Family picture at mom and dad's house. We are all in pink.  Brent told Elli, "real men wear pink."  She responded with, "You mean dead men don't wear pink?"  hehehe
Lots of fun watching the kids play with their easter basket goodies.  Elli loves her camel bak water bottle.
Micah was having fun putting his basket over his head and sucking in his breath!
Gloria couldn't get enough of all the easter basket grass.  It was everywhere!
Wesley and Luka liked their head lights:)  Wesley is trying to get away from all the action here.
I tried for a close up of both of us, but this is all I got.
At the end of the day, we showed Micah his basket at home.  He loved the new balls.
So serious about them.  He couldn't figure out which one to play with:)

First Baptist Church of Ketttering Annual Easter Egg Drop, March 30

We met up with the Masters to try to get some eggs!
Micah was tired of spending time in the Moby at this point.
Three helicopters made several passes with eggs and it was so fun to see them drop from the sky.  The kids all loved it.
Gloria getting a good view of the eggs as the fell from the sky!
Go, Elli, go!  I had to tell her to slow down so the other kids could get some.  When we came two years ago we didn't get any eggs, so she was very excited about her full basket!
Gloria is still trying to figure out what to do with the eggs.  She did put some in her basket with lots of coaching from mom and dad.  She loved all the balls!

Breakfast with the Bunny and Egg Hunt, March 30

Micah was so excited to be sitting like one of the big people:)
This sure is a scary looking bunny, but look how sweet Ellis is.  Elli asked me this year if the bunny was real.  I replied with a queston to her of what she thought about it.  After thinking a bit she said, "Well, I know my basket is empty on Saturday night, but filled on Sunday, so something is real."  I am simply not ready for her to figure it out and grow up that much more.
Heather, Gary, Gloria and Mom were able to come with us this year.  It was fun to have them.
My sweeties
Gloria was fine wih Micah next to her and she ket pointing to him and saying, "Baby, baby."
Then, there was one.  She was not happy!
Wanted to get a picture with them on this beautiful day.

Right before the hunt.  Elli got lots of eggs and still gave some away to others.  Love her sweetness.
Mom with the kids.  Two kind of unhappy little ones:)
Not too bad for a fmaily picture!
We were enjoying a little sunshine on the course after the breakfast.  Micah kept wanting to grab the steering wheel and Elli kept asking me to go faster:)
Brent enjoyed golfing a few holes.
We played on the putting green while we waited for Brent to finish.
Elli played on my phone and then decided it was more fun to do cartwheels and play chase with me.
Micah found his shadow and was very interested in trying to touch it.  Look at his crawling stance.  He doesn't really go forward, but he gets up on hands and knees all the time and re-sits someplace else.  Only a matter of time.

Good Friday, March 29, 2013

Kiera Heaton came over to send the morning with us.  We made resurection rolls, colored eggs, colored books about Easter, made cookies, and played.  It was a fun morning indeed.
The girls were very good at rolling the dough and cutting out the cookies.
Later that evening, Leah, Matt, and the boys came over before the Good Friday service.  Micah, Luka, and Wesley were all playing so well together with the same toy.
That is until Micah started pulling their hair.  Luka was saying, "No, Micah.  No head!"  Wesley got up and ran away screaming, "Ouch!"

Snow day, March25th, Seriously?

Not sure why Micah cries when we go outside in the snow, but he was not a happy camper.
Still not happy.  I guess he is not ready to make snow angels just yet.
But this little angel is ready!  Angels and eating snow make up most of her playing in this white stuff.
Posing by our huge pine trees in the back yard.
Elli took this picture of Micah and I.  He is not so sad now.  He even stopped crying and flashed a smile by the end of our time outside.  We took a little walk into the woods to see if we could find any tracks.  We saw some bunny tracks and possibly cat tracks, but that's all this time.

Oh wait.  The crying is back:)  Oh well.  Maybe next year he will be more ready to have some fun in the snow.

Photo Session Attempts, March 25th

He loves to put things in his mouth.
 Elli's smile is great!
And finally, they are both looking and smiling:)

Celebration of Life, March 23

We had a celebration of Life party for Heather and Leah to celebrate the babies coming soon.  It was a great morning with family, a few close friends, and lots of yummy food.
Aunt Sharron has made a quilt for each of the grand nieces and nephews.  These two are absolutely adorable, just like the rest of them.  What a special gift.
I somehow managed to not get in a single picture.  Sad.  Mom helped me put this together by baking and bringing some of the food.  Heather requested icing, which I gave in the form of homemade syrup which she poured on everything!  Leah requested bacon, (brought by mom) and chocolate, which I provided in the form of a flowing chocolate fountain!
Leah got to spend a little time snuggling with Micah.  I like htis picture of Micah's sweet expression and Leah's cute belly.  Not long now and we will be holding two more little babies!
