Our hotel was an old hotel and had a lot of character. Huge variety in decorating.
We spent each evening and some day time on the river walk about a block away from our hotel.

Lots of beautiful churches to see.
I love the mix of new and old here as well.

We ran to Guether House known for their cinnamon rolls:) Good think we ran here.
Historic home of one of the first manufactures in the area, Pioneer Flour Mill.
There were some very famous people who lived here, worked here, or just spent time here.
Another beautiful church. We did lots of walking around on this trip.

Church where supposedly, Davy Crockett is buried. Not sure how they know it was him since the Alamo and all the bodies were burned.
But, here is where they say the are.
We took a boat tour of the city and loved it.
Lots of things going on he park right out the front of our hotel. Even a ballet show, free.
The church where Davy Crocket is buried has a laser light show showing the highlights of the history of San Antonio set to music. It was great!
We got to go to two different churches on Sunday morning. This one was in the park across the street.
They acted out the triumphal entry of Jesus, donkey included.
We walked a little on the river and saw a bride getting her wedding photos taken.
Probably coming here to get married on wedding island!
We got to see the Clewetts but didn't get a single picture of us together. Awful! We had a good visit, but boy, after being away in Albania, home for a day then traveling here, I was ready to be home. I missed those kiddos like crazy.
