Micah is pure joy and rotten-ness. How can you be both perfectly at the same time? Ask Micah! He is an entertaining young guy for sure. He keeps us laughing with his very animated facial expressions and stories.
His imagination is really taking off these days and he loves to make up ways to play.
We chase dragons and goose with our swords and make scary faces.
He has a lisp that is adorable, but we are hoping he grows out of it.
Speaking of growing, he grew 1 1/4 inches from Jan-March. He is about the size of a four year old!
He tried all kinds of things that you ask him to do, but if he gets embarrassed or feels he cannot do it he stops and says, "I can't do it" and runs away.
He loves to sing, all the time, made up songs or real. This is The Day is one of his favorites right now as well as My God is So Big.
He loves to jump off furniture, jump on furniture, and simply jump. He also loves to hide. He hides in blankets, tents, tunnels, behind couches, under tables, around me, and in anything small he can find.
He uses the word "actually" a lot.
He is in a steam of consciousness mode saying things like, "Mom, can we climb up the mountain? We get Jesus on the mountain? He will climb up the mountain wif us? He will beat me up the mountain? I will chase him? I will get his bootie when I chase him."
"Mom, shhh. Something's comin' out of my bootie. "
"I need to go get dat brown one. First I need to get in da tv to tell dat seery guy not to do dat. But when I get bigger I will get wings and I can get in da tv. Member, mom, I will buy you some new shoes. Dat be so fun? Oh no, my sord has a hole in it. But my fingers is too big. Maybe I can get Elli wif my sord? Dat be funny? I not going to hit you. See my puppy? So cute."
When I told him he was not allowed to play on any more devices, I suddenly couldn't find him. He was behind the couch with my tablet and this is what he said, "I hide-in. I payin birds. I not done yet."
Micah describes his poop as being friends, being letters, too big. One comment from Micah was, "Mom, I can't go poopy. It hurts. It is too big for da hole!" Had me in stitches.
He used to spit out food and nearly throw up several times a week. Now, he is eating much better.
I could go on and on, but this is all I can think of right now. I feel very blessed to be his mommy.
We are a family of 4 and loving the blessing. I hope you enjoy reading about what God is doing in our lives.

Easter Weekend Continues
Nana and Elli spent the afternoon making nests. I am now addicted to these delicious morsels.
I prepared Easter baskets.
And wrote the notes from E. B. This is a tradition that mom started when we were all at home. She hid our baskets and left a note from the Easter Bunny for us to try to find them.
The Masters, Raymonds, and Fergusosns get pictures every year on Easter Sunday. Love this tradition as well. Super great group of kids and families.
After church, Elli found her basket on top of the china cabinet.
A book, water bottle, zhuzhu pet, apple sauce, some reeses peanut butter eggs, cadbury eggs, gum, and a pez from Nana.
Micah found his in the corner behind the table in the front room. He thought of his favorite hiding spot all by himself:)
Pez from Nana, gum, cadbury eggs, reeses peanut butter eggs, zhuzhu pet, monster truck, hover ball, apple sauce.
Too sunny, but oh it was nice to see the sun on this morning. Good Friday was gloomy and rainy, and Easter Sunday was sunny and beautiful. Quite fitting for the memory of the events of those days.
Nana and Grandpa with the kids. Micah just couldn't keep his eyes open:)
Not in the sun, but love all the smiles.
Easter dinner after church. Ham, rolls, corn from Nana's garden, cheesy potatoes, salad, delicious.
After dinner, we went to mom and dad's for baskets and visiting. Oliver was not happy about having to sit. Grandma is trying to help him.
Excited to see the goodies.
Checking out his new truck:)
Francine and Heather discovering new things.
Ruby was just taking it all in.
She even got a basket.
Mom did eventually write note from EB for us three girls. She originally said the bunny didn't leave a note. We didn't believe her and wouldn't you know, a note appeared at some point that afternoon. I love these traditions and spending time together.

PPC Egg Hunt, Friday, April 3
Grandpa and Micah started the day with a little tent time:)
The 0-2 year olds went on the hunt. Micah and Oliver were looking for those eggs:)
Micah didn't want to stop at 12 because he could see so many more.
Francine caught on quickly. She really wanted to open them though and start to eat what was inside.
Elli found her eggs quite quickly. Didn't stop the excitement or fun though.
Luka needed a bit of help to carry his basket and find the eggs.
Wesley was ready to get more too.
Gloria was so excited it was difficult for me to get a picture.
Each kid got 12 filled eggs from this hunt.
Leah's boys couldn't wait to get them open.
I love Francine's face here. She just wanted to eat the candy!
Ruby was there as well. She slept during the egg hunting but loved the fun I am sure:)

Just a couple more from April 1st
Micah was kissing Ruby and saying, "Awww, he's so cute." In fact, all the kids call her a he:)
I was able to hold her while all the other kids took naps too. Except Elli. She was playing with Leah's next door neighbor and having a blast!

Sleep Number Fun
We went to Sleep Number Beds and tried out all the styles. Micah and Grandpa were trying to keep busy. Micah wanted to sleep on all the beds over and over again. Well, so did Grandpa:) Fun times. That store is one i8 king sized bed less:) Here's to better sleep and more space.
A Couple more Ruby Cuties
Love her sweet little face.
Jeni as always does an excellent job on embroidery. This blanket is adorable. Ruby is so sweet.

Dying Eggs, March 31st
We had the Emery's over for dinner and egg coloring. We also carried on the tradition of the resurrection rolls with the Easter story.
Each kid had 6 eggs to dye. Micah dyed each of his eggs about 20 times!
So serious. Elli did not take kindly to Micah taking her eggs too.
Taylor and Ethan did a great job. They didn't have a 2 year old taking all their eggs:)
Micah was so excited to see Emily. he calls her the "Big Emeny: so as not to confuse her with the Emilee that lives down the street. It was a fun night.

March 28th Easter Egg Hunt Mt. Zion Church
It was quite cold, 32 degrees, but we went to an egg hunt anyway. It really was a lot of fun.
The 3rd grade and up lined up for their turn. Elli was armed with a basket and a plan.
Running, running, running.
She ran to the far end of the patch and started gathering eggs while the other kids started at the beginning. It seemed to work in her favor. She got a lot of eggs.
Micah's turn.
He got a head start as being aged 0-2, but some moms around me didn't believe me! He was taller than most of the three year olds. He caught on rather quickly.
He was running too. Anytime another mom would say, "there are eggs over here" then he would go that direction. He did a great job though and got lots of eggs full of yummy treats.
Good job, kiddos. We then enjoyed some hot dogs for lunch at the church and went home to dig into the eggs a little more.

Visits with Ruby, March 28 and April 1
Elli and Micah were excited to hold her for the first time. Elli is really good with babies.
Brent took his turn with Ruby as well.
They love her.
Poor baby is not really a fan of getting her diaper changed. She does not like to be cold.
I took the kids to the backyard to play in the creek on Wednesday, April 1st. They loved it.
Micah wanted a hair-hawk. Funny.
Sweet baby girl.
