Feb 5, Elli's 6th Snow Day

 We got snow then icy rain.  Made for crunchy snow to play in.  Micah loved stomping and eating the ice chunks.

 Elli was trying to bite into this ice cube.

 Love her big smile.  We have enjoyed lots of time together this semester with snow days and delays.  I have actually missed three days of classes at UC and Cedarville has closed twice and had a two hour delay today cancelling my class this morning.  I am not getting my school work done but am having fun with my kids.

 Emilee came to play.  They were pretending this was a frozen pizza.

 This piece of ice resembled Africa.  The girls were quite proud of it.

Micah wanted to say "cheese" for a picture.  He looks a little scared instead!

Just Dance

Look at Micah's outfit.  he wanted his "fishy pants" on.  Elli was doing a back bend and Micah is dancing.  This is a most evening occurance. 

Micah was trying to do everything Elli did, so Brent helped him do a heel stretch!  He was so serious about copying his big sister.  Elli is getting really good at her heel stretches and can hold it on her own.  Growing up for sure.

Another storm this January!

 Micah was determined to make his way to the backyard.

 She loves making snow angels.

This crazy winter!

 We finally had some great snow for making a snowman and we played like crazy!  It was above freezing and the kids and I were outside for quite some time. We rolled this huge ball.

 And made this snowman.  Micah kept saying "hi"

 Look how big my baby girl is getting.

 She liked trying to climb on the snowman.

 So much fun.

She also taught him how to eat snow ice cream.  He loved his first taste!

Making memories with family

 Playing in the cousin band:) We went to Heather and Gary's after Francine's dedication at church.

 Gloria and Micah are quite the pair.  Hard to know who is leading and who is following in this duo! I caught them playing in the guest room.  Micah was reaching for the "hi" (aka the phone)  Gloria then showed Micah how to sneak between the bed and the wall and throw clothes on the floor:)

 The Friday night beforehand, They were all at our house.  Love their little faces here watching a show to calm down for the evening.  Look at all their sweet little jammies.

 Francine did well in front of the church.  Gloria announced to the whole congregation that she could see Pastor Joe, on the monitor:)  It was a sweet time.

Little bit of this

 I tried to eat a bowl of cereal by myself.  Micah found me.

 Oh yes.  This girl has style!

 Micah's burn.  He put his arm on the hot stove while I was at school one night.  Yikes!  Burned his hand and forearm.

 Goofy boy.

 Proof that my kids love brussel sprouts.  I told Elli I was making pork chops and brussel sprouts and she literally screamed with excitement.

We are really enjoying our new tread mill.  Micah begs to run.  We usually let him a few minutes either at the beginning or the end. Elli can keep up pretty well on it.  She likes it too.

Micah loves shoes

 Every day, all day,  Micah gets shoes and puts them on saying, "Shoes?" over and over.  He also likes "boops" (boots) and puts them on as well.   Here, he is wearing a pair of Elli's shoes while saying "I want" to indicate he would like me to get the candy basket down because he wants a piece of candy.

 He is now wearing my shoes.  Chances are he was saying, "Run?" over and over while wearing them because I wear them when I run.  He was also playing with the nativity I got after Christmas.  He loves the "gonkey" and even runs around saying "eeeee-ahhhhh"

And here, he is wearing Brent's shoes with his pants down because he said he needed  to go "potty."  He has been going pee pee on the potty for  the last couple of days, starting at 19 months.  Fun times here!

Goodbye Tail

 I finally gave Micah his first hair cut mid January.  he was 19 months old:) Brent said it was simply time for the rat tail to go.  I loved that little curl it had, but it was getting a little long.

As you can see, he was not a fan.

A day in the life of these two

 Why not have a gentle foot massage on the edge of the tub in the bathroom while hiding from Micah? hehehe

These two both LOVE stuffed animals, especially doggies.  Fun to see them playing together.
