We knew there was a chance of bad weather, maybe even tornados with this storm. The sirens started going off so we all went to the basement. Then, Brent said to come up as he was watching the skies. So up we went and out to the front yard. AS we were watching, Brent said, "Oh no! That cloud is rotating!" It was literally in our front yard so I screamed for everyone to run to the basement!
We stayed there for a while and even watched as the funnel clouds formed and broke up for the next 15 minutes, as long as we could see it. It touched down a couple of different places, one only a couple miles behind our house!
Katie was living with us and we had Julia and Hannah over for dinner. I acted like their mom and yelled at them all to run:) It is a funny memory now but was a little scary at the time.
