Family Happenings

Grant loves me!  He gets excited to see me and calls me "Wordy."
The kids were teaching Elli and Micah to play Settlers Jr.

Cannot get over this sweet boy and his always interesting bed head:)  Sometimes we never even fix it.
Yes, it is January.  yes it snowed last week.  Yes, it is warm enough to be outside without coats and swing.  Yes, that is Elli being a good cousin and swinging with Grant.
 Grant seriously makes me laugh.
Another trip out to the land to see the horses.

Micah becomes a Test Student

Sue Edwards is asking Micah some reading questions.
Jocelyn Quirple is also one of the students in this course trying out some diagnostic techniques.
Dr. Ruth Sylvester is the instructor of this reading course for middle childhood education majors and asked if Micah could serve as a test students for them to learn diagnostic testing.  He loved it:)
He was a little nervous as you can see by his jaw being set like this.
Ruth gave him a book to open when he was finished as a thank you.

The Long Awaited Red Hulk

Micah asked for the red hulk for Christmas but it didn't come in on time from Gonga and Papa.
So, when it came in, Micah was ecstatic!  He couldn't wait to play with it.  Sure enough, the red hulk is stronger than the green hulk:)

Dedication of Homes, Jan 21

I love these days at out church.
Sven and Paula had Magnolia Joy dedicated.
Sure do love this family.

Jan 20 was full of fun

The snow was getting a little melty so we ran out to sled and build a snow man.  Finally!
 Sweetness.
They were coming up with all sorts of ways to ride those sleds.
We still have our trusty saucer.
Sometimes I just need to get a picture too.  I was there:)
All three of us on one sled.
 Oh my!
 He turned out great.
They were standing on the igloo though we knew it wasn't going to last much longer.  The roof was getting squishy.
Both Elli and Micah took turns crashing it in.
He thought carrying this snow ball would help his sled ride be more fun.
 Love this girl.
Such a sweet picture of these two kiddos.
Like I said, all kids of ways to sled.
We ended our evening with some family bowling with PPC.  We shared a lane with Heather, Gary, Gloria and Francine.
Micah didn't get a very high score, but got better as the night went on.
Elli started out with no rails and then had them put up as she got tired.  She is pretty good at this though.
Micah getting the pins down!  He loved it.

Snow Weekend and Extra Snow Day

First sledding day of the new year, Jan 7th.
The next weekend we got some more snow and had a snow day on Monday.  Micah's snow angel is getting bigger.
Elli's is like the size of mine, or very close.
I love these trees with snow on them.  The kids didn't really want their picture though.
 The start of our igloo.
We have loved sledding down the little hill at the end of our road.
The igloo is done.  We loved playing in there.  Bellah, not so much.
Sweet girl.  I love that they oblige me and still play.
I haven't made one of these since Elli was little.  We finally got enough snow for one.
Micah played in there lots with me.

First week of January got us like...

Micah wanted everyone to see his lego creation so they could make it too.  He called it a work station and had me post it on Facebook:)
Our land in Cedarville all covered in snow.
Listening to some books acting like its not cold outside.
Micah wanted to show how brave Captain America is and had daddy shoot darts at his shield.
Micah's store, wearing glasses, having customer Elli;)

Welcome to 2018

I cannot help myself when I see how sweet my kids look when they sleep.  So peaceful.  I love that he has a bed full of stuffed animals as well, all snuggled in blankets.
