Opening Weekend of The Music Man, Feb 2-4

Opening night!!!!  Each of us moms of the little kids in the show were assigned a night or two to be in charge back stage, making sure kids were in the right spots at the right time.  This was actually dress rehearsal. She had late, late nights for two weeks leading up to the show.  Her teachers were very helpful and understanding with her as she was so tired.
 Kaylee and Ella being silly.
Hannah, Elli, Kaylee, and Jonathan, who was amazing as Winthrop by the way.
The cast was supposed to change out of their costumes after the show before seeing anyone.  She was very excited after opening night.  She got lots of flowers and she loved all the attention!
Sweet Aria giving her a hug.  Justin was scheduled to leave the next day and so they came on opening night.
Aria couldn't wait to show Elli her card and give her flowers.  Micah and Aria were also very busy running around and having fun.  Micah was also making sure she knew that one of the songs was about "Poopie."  (shapoopie)
So fun to have them here for this. For being missionaries around the world, we have been blessed o celebrate many big events together in person.
Elli piked out this outfit for me to wear.  She is so funny.  She wanted me to look pretty and be comfortable since it was a long show:)
Kylie and Jeremy were in the Sound of Music with Elli when she was in 2nd grade and were in this show together as well.  I had Jeremy in third grade when I taught in Cedarcliff.  Kylie I had as a freshman this year at Cedarville.  She was the original Marian, but had to back out due to volleyball being a bigger commitment than she thought it was going to be.  Still fun that they got to be together again.
On senior day, Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Rodger, and Aunt Sharron came out.  I snuck them back stage to see Elli before the show in her costume.  They loved it.  Uncle Larry was out of town on a missions trip and missed it but The Music Man is his favorite musical so he was bummed.
I will be getting this off the window and putting it in my basement when the show is done:)
These kids were amazing thoughout the whole show.  I am very proud of them.
Ginny Hollins, Cathy Hollins, Jean Noble (Cathy's mom), and Sarah all came out to see Elli.
Kelly was Maria in The Sound of Music with Elli and came out to see her in this show.  Also, Kay and Dave her husband.
Madilynn, Lily, and Caroline came out as well. I again snuck them downstairs and snuck a pre-show picture.
Barb Franklin came out that first weekend.
 Madilynn and Sherry.
Paula, Lily, and Caroline.  They all loved the show.
3 of Elli's teachers, Ms. Thomas, Mrs, Sukel, and Mrs. Zaage.  Elli was so happy to see them.  Again, they were so helpful and patient with sleepy Elli.
Ms. Dell, the drama teacher and director of The Sound of Music came too.  Kylie and Jeremy are pictured here again.  They were so sweet with Elli the whole time as well and helped her feel welcome.
I thought Friday night was the best performance that first weekend even though they were all good.  There were a total of 5 each weekend.
