Outer Banks June 18-25

It took about 11 hours to drive to the house.  We stopped at the grocery on the way in and since we were as packed as we could get, the kids had to hold a couple of things;)
We spent a lot of time on the beach.
Micah loved all the shells and was super happy when he found out that the shells were alive!
Elli was loving the beach as well.
This was a common site.  Lots of kids, lots of adults, lots going on.
He wanted to swim with me, play with me, and do all sorts of fun things with me.  I like to be the chosen one;)

 Her sweet face of joy!
I love how Micah seems to be asking Elli if it is all ok before jumping in.
Brent helped Micah jump over the waves.
Chelsea liked the water as long as it was only an inch deep, you know, like mom!
She got the hang of this boogie board thing.
It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach with all the littles and all our stuff but they all did pretty well.
We went to the beach a few times just to walk around and catch crabs.  The boys were all about crab hunting!
Lots of running into and out of the waves by all of our kids.
Micah;s turn to run out of the waves.  Oliver is trying to hold his shorts up so they don't get too wet.
Ruby and Chelsea got along great.  My favorite part though was Ruby pulling Chelsea's tail and then telling her, "No Bite!"
We all went to the lighthouse for an afternoon when it was a little rainy outside.
There were a couple of board walks.
The kids each got to paint a fish.
They hung them on the wall to dry.
 Pretty bridge overlooking the sound.
We let them watch a show a couple of times. They were entranced:)
Wednesday we went with Mom and dad and Heather and Gary to the Wright Brother's Memorial.
The kids had fun exploring the grounds.
It was cool to see the places where they first took flight.
 Dad is so strong;)
I love this picture of Elli and Francine.
We ate lunch at the Black Pelican where the Wright Brothers sent the telegram to the world stating they had made the first flight!
 Frisbee on the beach.
He looks like he is ready to catch it but that is easier said than done.
Our beach pictures didn't turn out quite like I wanted, but they are ok.
This one is cute of Leah and family.
I love this one of the kids.
Great one of Heather and family too.
 This oneios my favorite!
Getting all the kids to look and smile was not the easiest task, but they are super cute.
Mom and dad.  Mom is wearing the outfit dad picked out for her.
 Our tradition.

Oh how I love his face here.
Leah and I played on these boogie boards too.
 Here I am with Elli.
On Brent and mine date night, the kids played Pie face while we went out for seafood dinner and a walk on the board walk.
 Micah's turn.
Leah took Micah with them to the beach to look for crabs.  Elli went with Heather and Gary to a park.
 Acting like crabs.
We saw dolphins a couple of days.
 Papa and Micah
Um, not sure where the kids are:)
There were a couple of weddings.  Micah and Gloria were first.
Go kart racing!  I got to ride with Luka.
We got some Duck Donuts, finally.
 Everybody jump!
 Gettin ready.
 The wedding dance.
We read to the kids each night before bed.
Gloria lost 2 teeth!  It was so sweet to see how all the kids checked out her teeth and got so excited with her.
More of the go karts.  Brent and Micah
 Heather and Gloria.
The whole crew after the race.  I told Luka we won since we passed so many people.
I love this over view shot of the pool.
 Fun picture of Heather.
Look how serious Elli looks.  She was a little scared to be driving all on her own:)
We had a great vacation.  The weather was pretty good with a little rain but no wash out days.  We went to the beach everyday and got to swim in our pool as well.  Each couple cooked one night and got to go out one night.  We hope to do this again one day soon
