Sisterly love and banana wafers

 Micah loves to give kisses.  He will chew on, suck on, and lick your face to show you he loves you.  Look out, it can be painful and it is very slobbery!!!!!  But, we all love it:)

 "Mommy, did you see where that last piece went?"

Silly smiles when he should be eating.  At least he has fun sitting in the chair.

Jan, 11 Micah is 7 monhs old

 Micah is such a joy to us.  he is a happy baby, full of expression, and loves to be with people, much like Elli.  Of course, when you set him up and try to get a smiling picture, he just stares wide eyed at the camera:)

He is very long and quite chunky, but boy do I love squeezing him!  At 7 months, he is still a surprise sleeper, sometimes going all night, sometimes choosing not to, he laughs a lot, he manipulates things into his mouth with ease, he sits very well, he has tried several kinds of food but doesn't really want anything from a spoon, and he is making new sounds like, "momma!"

The day he turned 7 months old, he began making waving motions.  It is adorable.  He gets that hand up there, starts moving it, then gets distracted and stares at it trying to figure out what it is doing.  He really makes us laugh, all the time.

Snow Family, Sunday, Jan 6, 2013

 We had the perfect snow for rolling on this day.  So, being the one in the family who loves to play in the snow, I begged Brent and Elli to join me:)  Together, with hard work,we made a snow family.  Me, Micah, Elli, and Brent.  We only have one set of snow man accessories so Elli chose to decorate herself:)

I hope we get at least one more snow.  It really is the best part about winter.  If it has to be cold, let it snow!

January and New things

 We have been giving Micah all kinds of new foods to taste.  He basically doesn't like to eat anything from a spoon, but we keep trying. I believe he is eating butternut squash here.  I love my new food processor which allows me to make his baby food:)

 Micah likes to "chill" with daddy and watch golf. 

 Elli enjoys playing with Micah and does so often.  I am not sure how he feels about it though.  He does have a balloon stuck to his head!

And there is that classic face.  We love it!  Big, wide eyes as if to show his surprise.

New Year's Day

 We have been going to mom and dad's for New Year's Day for several years now.  She makes pork and sour kraut.  Yummo!  Of course, with the kids now, there is a lot of playing.

No pictures but a couple of good stories

Conversation with Elli; "Mommy, I was thinking that a dollar and an hour should be the same but a dollar is 100 cents and an hour is 60 minutes.  But, speaking of how long they are, I think they are the same in inches." All I could say was that I loved her and her thoughts.

Micah is now, at 7 months, trying to wave, saying new sounds like,"momma, ba, guh, and mmm", he reaches up when I say "up", he is learning to eat more things, and is the sweetest boy in the world.

Elli wants a puppy really badly.  I woke her up this morning and she thought I was acting sneaky so she says, "Do you haev a surprise for me?  Did you get a puppy?"  She has been on her best behavior:)
