A Couple Stories Worth Sharing

On Sunday, Sept 27th, we had the opportunity to see a full lunar eclipse with a supermoon and a blood moon.  It was pretty special  It started around 9:10 so I showed Elli right at the beginning.  She asked me to wake her up when it was a full lunar eclipse.  So at 10:30 I went up to her room.  She was hard to wake up but looked out her window and said, "That's cool"  Then, in the morning, when she got up for the day, she said to me, "You didn't even wake me up for it!"  She still cannot recall at all that I woke her up.

Micah has an argument that goes something like this.  "Micah, it is bed time, you need to go to sleep."  "Mommy, when I am firsty, I am firsty.  When I want to snuggle, I want to snuggle."  (he stills says sungle)  So, tonight I asked him what his favorite part of snuggling was and he replied, "My best part of snugglin is getting in da blanket and snuggling you."  Love him!

Elli was telling Micah the story of how Jesus died on the cross and that people were very mean to him and hurt him.  Micah popped up with, "Then, the hulk can hit those bad guys so they not hurt Jesus.  Hulk can punch for Jesus!"  Then, we asked Micah how long Jesus was dead.  he replied with, "Umm, about 2 weeks and a half."  He was so serious about it.  Adorable and funny, but rest assured, Elli set him straight.  She told him Jesus was only dead for three days and he can never die again.  Preach it, Elli!

Micah likes to wear his Captain America costume and refers to himself as Captain America in the third person.  He says things like, "Captain America runs fast" and then he runs fast.  Well, he tooted the other day and I said, Micah, did you toot?"  He replied with, "Captain America doesn't toot.  God put springs in his booty so he doesn't toot then he uses them to catch the bad guys."  Now hat is an imagination.

Elli is really into playing school these days. She has strings hung up all over the living room and hands out assignments and such to her students.  The other day, I heard her say to her students, "Well, if you would quit fartin around you would know what we were doing."  Yep, I stopped her right there and said she couldn't een play that way.  Her response was, "Well, that's what Mrs. Sukel says to us."  Uh, oh.  We might need to figure out what her teachers really do say.

Daily, both kids ask me to play with them, usually tickle and school.  We jump on the trampoline most days, go for family runs/bike rides, and play with tents and blankets.  Love them and the life we are living.

4th Grade! Wed, Aug 18th How is this possible?

We took her supplies to the school on Tuesday night during open house.  She is in Mrs. Zaage's 4th grade class but changes classes for every subject.
 Her first day outfit choice.
 Love her grown up look.
We were running a little late but still decided to snap a few pictures.
 Micah wanted in as well.
And of course I did too!
I quickly took her picture and then cried a little as I walked out.  She was the last one to sit down and was not with any of her friends.  I was sad for her but she said it was ok so she didn't get in trouble for talking:)

August Moments

Sweet little Ruby taking a little nap in her seat but in my house:)
She is so cute sucking on her little fingers.
We decided to try to ride to Yellow Springs.  It was a 14 mile total trip from the Parking lot on 68 to Subway in Yellow Springs.  Elli did a lot of complaining, but we did have fun moments as well:)
Like, seeing this covered bridge and getting off the bikes:)
His new smile!  So big and adorable.
I still love  every moment when they play happily together.  Their giggles when they are so happy together sometimes make me want to cry.
Yes, Elli is 9 and still likes to play with her stuffed animals.  She has played like this for so long and I don't like to think of the days when she will say she is too old to pretend play this way.  So, for now, I am going to take pictures and love it.

Fergusons go to Young's

We planned a trip to Young's as we were all still together and looking for some fun things to do.
 My crazy kiddos.
They were actually really excited to get their picture taken here:)
Once again, trying to get a picture where they are all smiling and looking is difficult!
Lana!  It was fun to get all the kids on the barrels for a ride, well, and Lana;)
Love that Elli still enjoys things like this.  This may not last much longer.
 Race time on the slide!
I was trying to capture Rett's new funny face.  He turns his head to the side and looks out of the corner of his eyes with a huge smile! However, every time I tried to catch it on camera, he was moving on to other things.  Fast little guy!

Date with Elli, July 31

Elli was begging me to take her on a date and she really wanted to go to Blueberry Cafe in Bellbrook.  So, we went!
We shared one chocolate chip pancake which we still didn't finish along with some bacon.  It was a fun morning and we enjoyed some big girl talk.  We ended our morning with a trip to Marshals for some school clothes.  Great morning with my girl.

A Sampling of Ferguson Family Pictures, July 30

It was not easy to get everyone looking in the same direction at the same time.
 Silly
Grandparents with 10 grandkids.  So fun to have them all together.
