Sept 11, Micah 15 months and Family Golf

Sneaky little monkey!  At 15 months, he is a joy plus some!  What a happy kid he is.  He is very good at following little commands like, "get your cup", "Hug the baby", "Wash your hair" and lots of others.  he loves to play and will get right in the middle of whatever is happening.  He now loves books and shoes bringing them to you and backing up into your lap either saying "boo" or "shoe".  His vocabulary is expanding.  He says, "Dadda, papa, e'yeee (elli), goggy (for almost every animal), uck (stuck), boo (book), shoe (also for socks), ball, b-b-b (baby), uh-oh, uh-uh (no), up, hi, pe (please), awww, owwie, papies (paci), caca (cracker), chee (cheese for pictures), guck (duck), and he makes the sounds for a duck-cak, dog-oooo, and horse-pphhh.  He also has a sound for the word tickle which involves him moving his tongue very quickly in his mouth:)  He has 7 teeth, almost 9 as the last one on top and one molar are so very close.  He is in the 85% for height and 93rd for weight, wearing a mix of 18 and 24 months clothes.  He still drinks milk from a bottle and snuggles at night and nap time.  I hope that lasts forever, well at least the snuggling:)  He also knows where his head, belly, ears, nose, mouth, and eyes are.  And, as you can see in the picture, he is learning to climb and tries it on everything.  Though he only has the words here, he mimics a whole lot more and tries to say whatever you ask him to.  I super love this age!
My sweets in the golf cart.
Micah was running around saying, "ball" and trying to pick them all up.  Hilarious.
Big swing!  Elli can actually hit the ball very well and she is using clubs that are a little too big for her.  She may be the golfer in the family after all.
 Hit it, baby!
Daddy showing us how it's done.
Micah wanted to swing the clubs and pick up the balls.  Makes for a very busy golf time.

Popcorn Festival, Sept 8th

Brent took the kids while I got some work done.  He met up with the Raymonds.
 Micah's turn
 Sitting in the big truck.
 The kids in the truck.

Happy Birthday, Seth!!!!

Micah loved playing in the water at the water table.
Cheesy smile before digging in to his birthday cupcakes.
Seth's first "big kid" party where he got to have friends over and not just family.
Just some of the families and kids.  There were lots and it was fun.
Present time.  He was so excited about his new crane!
We got him two new books, which he likes, s well as a hummer that moves and plays music.  Turning 4 is pretty fun:)
The family.
Seth came to my house for a couple of hours the week before his party.  The following conversation happened:
S- "Aunt Lori, I love hookers."
Me- "You do?"
S- "Want o play hookers with me?"
Me- "I would love to play hookers with you."
Lots of laughing on the inside for me.  He was talking about the cars that have cranes on them with hooks:)

 Getting ready for the candles.

Cedarfest

A stop to get ice cream before we head out to fireworks in Cedarville.
Elli showed no fear as she worked her way across the high monkey bars.
He couldn't wait to get in the sand.
Waiting for the fireworks to start
We met up with the Hendersons.  Elli and Abby watched the fireworks together.
 The boys, loving the fireworks.
Elli watching from over my shoulder.
Brent's face is cracking me up:)
Micah loved them, again.  he ooohed and ahhhed with the best of them.

Labor Day Weekend at the Pool

 Love this silly grin.
So much fun with these two this summer.
 Loving his daddy
I wish you could see Elli in this picture.  Micah is leaning down to "talk" to her.  Her arm is in the air, but you cannot see her.  It was really sweet.  Haley is right in front of Micah.  (A new friend from the pool.)
Elli couldn't wait to swim with the lights on.  We let her stay until they turned them on since it was the last late night swim of the year.  It was a little rainy, but the water was warm:)

Family Time

Bike ride home from Kyle and Meg's.  Elli had ridden over with Nana and we rode out bikes.  So, she squeezed into the single trailer with Micah, and off to home we go:)
Tuesday night at Heather's when the weather is awesome?  Sure!  Kiddos enjoying dinner.
Gloria and Micah playing with the horsey.
Just hanging out with the little ones.
Micah is begging for a lick of Elli's popsickle.
"Oooooo, Mommy.  It's cold!"
