We had the experience of observing a solar eclipse this afternoon. We got paper out so we could draw it at different stages. We even got our solar glasses so we could look at the disappearing sun.
The kids got a little bored with watching. We were in the 90% range but it wasn't very spectacular.
The sun was mostly hidden and I enjoyed the shape of it over the hours leading up to it. It would have been fun to be in the 100% areas, but it didn't happen. It turned the day time into a dusk feel.
