Joe and Mona Beam have an apple cider party each fall at their barn. This year, Lindy was able to come home and spend time.
Micah was seriously enthralled with the whole process. Someone put him to work moving the apples from the cleaner to the press and he thought he was in charge all night long!
It is a really cool process and the apple cider is delicious.
Elli got in the helping mode as well. Joe and Mona had also taken a perspectives course and felt they were not doing enough to reach the world. So they have started reaching out to the foreign student organizations at Wright State and UD. Lots of those students were at the apple cider event and they loved it. I also enjoyed visiting with Lindy and Runjiv from high school.
The next day, we went to Young's with Lindy's family. it was a great time of catching up and just enjoying each other and each other's kids:) I sure do miss this girl but love that our friendship feels like there is no separation when we get together.
