It was so big and pretty at night.
On Tuesday morning, Brent went off to try to golf. He got the first 9 in and then the rain made the course close. I stayed in the room with the kids as it was storming, not just raining. We played a couple of games, watched some shows, and played in the rain with the umbrellas. (balellas as Micah calls them) Then, the rain stopped and Micah went back with Brent in the evening to try to finish. Micah loved it and Brent shot a 35 on the second 9.
He talks about driving the cart all the time.
After the mall, I stayed in the room with Micah during his nap while Brent and Elli went swimming. She really could do this all day long, every day. She loves to swim and is so good at it!
When Micah woke up, I brought him down to join the fun. He was so serious about pulling these ropes to make the water fall.
He and Elli doing it at the same time!
He wanted me to see him acting liek a frog. He even told me to pet him.:)
We had reservations for Medieval Times that evening at 5.
Elli was unsure about not having any utensils to eat, but both kids managed well. We didn't get Micah a seat as we knew he wouldn't eat much dinner. He loved the show though and put a good dent into my dinner:)
These banners came with our tickets and the kids waved them a good bit of the time. I am not sure how many times I got whacked in the face though. I'm surprised I made it out with both eyeballs!
We sat in the black and white knight section. He ended up winning the whole thing!
Micah was so serious about watching the jousting. Elli actually had to hide her eyes a couple of times because she was afraid. She thought it was real. The actors did a pretty good job of making it look real, at least in the fighting scenes. The horses were amazing to watch as well.
Here is the victor taking his victory lap. Both Elli and Micah understood that he won and were cheering their little hearts out.
Micah was ready to get his picture with our winning knight, until we got close. Elli got his autograph on her flag though.
Elli really wanted her picture with the princes of the night as well. Elli has such a tender heart. She caught one of the flowers that our knight threw to the crowd when he won one part of the competition. She was so excited about it. But, at the end of the night, she gave her flower to our server who told Elli she was going to start teaching 6th grade in the fall. She really does think of things that make others happy. Well, the server put the flower down on the tables as she was cleaning and someone picked it up. We happened to walk out next to the man that picked it up saying, "It was on my table so I took it." Elli started crying because she felt like the girl didn't want her flower. It is hard to help a tender hearted little girl understand that not everyone has the same tender heart. She ended up praying for the server that she would realize it was a kind gesture and that she would be kind to others:)
Micah again was very excited to see the villain of the show until we got close. Ha! It was a good night and a fun show.
We ended the night by heading to Costco for some cereal and milk, then back to the resort for shuffleboard and park playing. Overall, we had another great night.
