We were able to celebrate Liam's birthday at a park overlooking the Mozul River. It was a beautiful location and an awesome park.
Love this "trampoline" that lies flat until it is pumped with air. The kids all loved it.
Lana made Liam a pirate ship cake for his party. He was very excited with it.
These swings are quite popular around Europe. As you can see, these two loved it.
As did these two. Look at Micah's adoring smile:)
Actually, they all loved it!
So much fun.
The birthday boy with cake, friends, presents, and family. What a fun celebration.
This bear came out to the party for the kids. Micah couldn't wait to hug him.
Most of the kids were able to come that Lana invited. Liam had some of his best buddies with him.
It really was a perfect location.
Great way to spend our last morning.
I let Liam open his gifts from us. I brought him a Where's Waldo book and a magnifying glass. I got Lilli a sticker book and some princess panties. Both kids were excited!
Look at Lilli's little face. So sweet. I do love these kids and I love giving gifts. So glad we got to celebrate with Liam for his birthday.
Wednesday evening, we went to Bible study with Lance and Lana, but the kids did not do so well. They each were crying. Micah was sad because he was being watched by someone other than me though at the same house. Elli was sad because Lilly had an accident and she thought the kids were looking at her like she was supposed to do something about it. So, we left, got some ice cream and went to bed early. Our flight on Thursday left from Frankfurt at 11:30, two hours away. It was not an enjoyable experience as every line at the airport was long and slow, I didn't get enough breakfast, and I got very sick on the plane, filling one whole bag and part of another on the landing. Then, our flights were all cancelled in Newark so we had to spend the night there. We got a hotel though after waiting in the airport for many hours. We were all tired and cranky but were able to get out of Newark and into Chicago Friday morning. We made it home Friday evening. The adjustment back to our time was not so bad. We were all happy to be in our own beds and the kids were especially happy to have their own food back? We got in a bad habit though of eating ice cream and Micah calls for it in his cute way that he used in Europe. He sucks in his breath, puts his hands to his mouth and says, "Big i keem?" Love it. Great trip. Cannot believe we got that opportunity to see our family and take our kids to make great memories.
